Comprehensive Plan Update Survey

The City of Flint Hill is in the process of updating its Comprehensive Plan (Plan).  The Plan is required by State Statute for all municipalities that zone property and should be updated periodically, ideally every 10 years.

The City’s Comprehensive Plan was last updated in 2009 and since that time the City of Flint Hill’s population has increased by almost 87%.  The proposed Plan Update will redefine and/or confirm the recommended residential, commercial and industrial growth areas and areas to be preserved.  The Plan will provide guidance on the timing and density of residential growth and the intensity, composition and appearance of non-residential (commercial & industrial) growth.

The development of the Plan Update will utilize inclusive public participation which will consist this Citizen Survey, on-going meetings with the Planning & Zoning Commission, stakeholder interviews, and town hall meetings.  The intent is to create a Plan that is co-authored by the Flint Hill community with citizen defined goals and objectives that will be implemented over time with the help of the community.  The rational being that if the community has ownership in the plan, the community will support the plan.

Your participation in the planning process starts now!!

By completing this survey, your feedback and recommendations will be included in the development of critical issues relating to the future growth and preservation of Flint Hill in the next 10 years.  Most questions involve rating several planning related issues from 1-5, One (1) being the most agreeable or best response.
